Responsibility towards the environment is central to NAMU. For example, a water-zero strategy based on the sponge city principle was developed for NAMU. It is based on the idea of integrating the natural water cycle into the planning: Instead of simply discharging rainwater via the sewer system, it is collected and stored so that it can be used efficiently.
